Moderation

Moderation is where you deal with reports from members about other members in the Training Circle, the social part of the members’ app. You can also handle appeals and record a member’s age check.

Who can use it: staff with the user admin role, and admins. It may not be included in every plan.

Open it from the menu: Community → Moderation. The page is titled Training Circle Moderation & Appeals and has four tabs. Click Refresh to reload.

Moderation on the Reports Queue tab, with two pending reports

Use Report Status to show Pending (the default), Resolved, Dismissed or All reports.

Each report shows who reported, who was reported (the “Subject”), the reason, any details, and when. Reasons include harassment, terms of service violation, inappropriate content, impersonation, spam or scam, and safety concerns.

  • Dismiss: no action needed. The report is closed straight away.
  • Suspend Member:
  1. Click Suspend Member.
  2. Check the Suspension Decision / Reason. It starts with the reason given in the report.
  3. Add Moderator Notes: your reasons and evidence. Only staff see these.
  4. Click Confirm Suspension.

Suspending a member takes effect straight away. Their pending friend requests are cancelled and their friendships in the Training Circle are put on hold. The report is marked resolved.

Handled reports show the decision and your notes.

A suspended member can appeal. Use Appeal Status to show Pending, Resolved or All.

  • Reinstate: lift the suspension. This happens straight away.
  • Reject: keep the member suspended. Enter your reason in Rejection Decision / Rationale, then click Reject Appeal.

A read-only summary of how moderation is going: the number of pending reports, how long the oldest has been waiting, and a set of safety checks with a pass or warning status for each.
